The Lady Capitals made school history Monday night with a 4-2 victory over North Central. Columbia’s Varsity Girls are now at a 6-4 record on the season, which is the highest win total ever for the growing program. The Lady Capitals were once again led by senior mid-fielder, Cruz Escobedo, who had three goals and one assist on the night, but her prolific scoring would not have been possible without another three assists from senior mid-fielder, Gretel Ajanel. With her first goal of the year, sophomore forward, Say Ray Moo, was able to help seal victory over an extremely fast North Central side. Columbia has two more favorable home match-ups this week against region foe, Eau Claire (Tuesday @5:30), and their midlands rival, Fairfield Central (Thursday @5:30, Senior Night). Please come out and support the Lady Capitals as their record setting season continues.
