The Capitals took the field once again, this time for a non-region matchup. Midland Valley made their way to Columbia and left with a win on Tuesday night.
The scoring started early, as the Capitals would take a 1-0 lead just 90 seconds into the match. Both teams traded goals as the first half came to a close. At the half, the score was even at 2.
The second half would see even more fireworks as Midland Valley would jump out to a 5-2 lead. Columbia would close the lead to 5-3, but the Mustangs would once again score to make it 6-3. With ten minutes left, Columbia would mount a comeback. The Capitals scored with just over nine minutes left in the game and would score again with just two minutes left. Columbia takes the field for the final time in the regular season on Thursday. The Capitals look to right the ship in their final preparation for the SCHSL AA Playoffs next Tuesday.
