Meet Recap

Columbia High finished 18 of 25 in the Varsity Boys’ team standings at this year’s Pelion Invitational 5K, one of the toughest courses of the season. This year’s race was the biggest to date, with over 450 competitive runners spanning A through AAAAA rankings. Tariq Copeland once again led the Caps with his season best, 18:59. In finishing order, Jaylen McClary, Standish Riley, Michael Mathews, Ladarius Taylor, Lway Htoo (Tiger), and Albert Davis rounded out the top seven scoring runners for the Caps. Columbia High also ran their first ladies race of the year, with Htee Shee Paw and Paw Htoo of St. Andrews Middle performing extremely well for their first ever race. The Caps look to improve next week when they travel to Camden on Oct. 5th.
